The Trump administration respected the dignity of the preborn, which was demonstrated in their Supreme Court Justices nominations, HHS picks, and Title X funding restrictions. The Biden-Harris administration, however, is ensuring that every pro-life advancement is reversed. This is evident in Biden’s systematic attempts to dismantle any pro-life progress at HHS and force taxpayers to fund abortions through Title X.

The first step was the nomination and confirmation of Xavier Becerra as Secretary of HHS. Becerra is an abortion extremist. As a congressman, he voted against a partial birth abortion ban and as Secretary of the HHS, he denies the existence of laws against partial birth abortion (which do exist). During a hearing on Wednesday, Becerra refused to accept that partial birth abortion bans exist and stated that he will not uphold them. Senator Lankford of Oklahoma pointed out that Becerra’s refusal to accept this most basic pro-life law calls into question his willingness to respect other pro-life laws, saying, “If he won’t uphold the law on partial birth abortion, how do we expect him to uphold the Hyde amendment or protect conscience rights?”
Becerra’s stance on abortion does not reflect the beliefs of most Americans, whom he and his nominating president purport to represent. In fact, Becerra is working with the Biden Administration to stop any commonsense abortion restrictions and to actively force Americans to violate their consciences by funding abortions through Title X. His efforts are relentless, and their next step is to rescind Trump’s “Protect Life Rule” and coopt Title X funding with their abortion efforts.

Title X was established in 1970 by the Family Planning Services and Population Research Act. The law was established to promote healthy family planning for lower income patients, which includes funding for basic prevention and wellness exams to testing and contraceptives. However, Title X does not cover abortions. Julie Asher from the Catholic News Service highlighted that, according to Section 1008 of the law, “none of the funds appropriated under this title shall be used in programs where abortion is a method of family planning.”
The Trump Administration established the “Protect Life Rule,” which denied Title X funding for recipients that promoted or referred patients for abortion. The abortion lobby refers to this as a “gag rule,” however it simply re-enforces the original intent of the law. This rule corrected repeated efforts by the abortion lobby to coopt Title X funding with abortion (which went unchecked for decades). The HHS proposed a new rule to rescind the “Respect Life Rule” on April 15, 2021. “Ensuring Access to Equitable, Affordable, Client-Centered, Quality Family Planning Services” would reverse the Trump rule and reinstate forced taxpayer funding of abortion.
The HHS made the rule open for comment for 30 days. Becerra and the HHS need to hear from YOU TODAY. Here is what you can do to prevent the reversal of Trump’s “Protect Life Rule:”
The proposed rule is open for comment on the HHS website until May 17th, 2021. Submit your comment here and respectfully implore that the HHS uphold the “Protect Life Rule.”

“I am urging you to reconsider the new proposed rule modifying the Title X family planning program. The taxes taken from pro-life Americans should not be given to abortion vendors.
As a taxpayer, I feel violated knowing that my money is funding businesses that profit from killing preborn human beings.
At a time when some states are legalizing abortion up until the moment of birth — and even for babies born alive — it is beyond cruel for the government to force taxpayers to defy their conscience and fund it.
Planned Parenthood is a $2 BILLION business with a massive network of donors in Hollywood and Washington, D.C.
I urge you to reconsider the HHS proposed Title X rule and to preserve vital prohibitions on funding to abortion vendors.

“The purpose of the Title X Family Planning Program is to Plan for Families, not ensure that women do not have families. But over time, this program has become a marketing tool for abortion vendors, most notably Planned Parenthood.
The funds have helped support the infrastructure costs of that business as well as providing a marketing slush fund to promote and sell other things, such as abortion. With Community Health Centers far outnumbering abortion vendors, there are many outlets for family planning healthcare that are not also trying to prop up abortion businesses.
The U.S. Government gives its endorsement of abortion as “family planning” in co-habituating real family planning services in locations dedicated to ending families. This is a misuse of funds and shows prejudice against future generations expressed in hard cash. Ending the lives of future citizens should not be on the agenda of the U.S. Government, as a child at the border or in a mother’s womb should be treated with equal concern.
I am imploring you to uphold the “Respect Life Rule.”
