Students for Life Action Praises President Trump for Pledge to Defund Planned Parenthood

“We must address Planned Parenthood’s racist past and racist present to prevent a racist future,” said SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins. “We are not electing a pastor or pope, but a President who will protect mothers and the preborn from a predatory abortion industry. We need to cut off the abortion industry from any taxpayer support.”

WASHINGTON D.C. (09-03-2020) – In the week in which a nationwide Billboard campaign co-sponsored by Students for Life of America launched — calling for Planned Parenthood to be fully defunded — President Trump pledged to defund Planned Parenthood in a letter to pro-life leaders. Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins observed, “A great divide is widening between those who want to support a culture of life and those who want to require all Americans to be forcibly coerced in funding and supporting abortion through all 9 months of pregnancy. In this race, voters must determine a candidate’s plans for abortion as this is literally a life and death issue.”
