“The Pro-Life Generation applauds the courageous legislators who advanced HB 1168, which will stop the illegal trafficking of Chemical Abortion Pills into Oklahoma,” said Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins. “Protecting Oklahoma citizens from out-of-state abortion vendors trafficking deadly Chemical Abortion Pills across state lines is vital for the health and safety of men, women, and preborn children. We stand behind the Pro-Life Champions who fought to pass this bill in the House and call upon Oklahoma Senators to end Chemical Abortion Pill trafficking. In 2024, the former Senate Majority Floor Leader blocked this from advancing, but after voter education in last year’s elections, we have new leadership. Now it’s time to seal the deal and pass this bill in the Oklahoma Senate.”

Oklahoma City, OK (03-27-2025) — Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins applauded Oklahoma Pro-Life Champion Rep. Denise Crosswhite Hader for spearheading HB 1168 and fighting to get it passed in the Sooner State House. This SFLAction-inspired bill, which passed in the state House by a vote of 77-19, will protect mothers and their preborn children from the predatory, online Chemical Abortion Pill industry, which is illegally trafficking deadly pills into the state. These businesses are pushing death by mail without commonsense safeguards, exposing women to injury, infertility, and death, and empowering abusers, who can use the deadly Chemical Abortion Pills against women & girls without their knowledge or consent.
“Oklahoma may be a pro-life state, but it still needs protection from the vast network of out-of-state, online Chemical Abortion Pill pushers,” said Hawkins. “With the passage of this bill, pro-life legislators in the Senate can be a part of a pro-life solution to end Chemical Abortion Pill trafficking. In 2024, SFLAction educated Oklahoma voters on the actions of the former Majority Floor Leader when he failed to act and advance this legislation, and we are prepared to do that again in the Senate.
Since the Oklahoma House has passed the SFLAction-inspired Chemical Abortion Trafficking Act, HB 1168, it is now up to the State Senate to finish the job by passing the identical bill sponsored by Sen. Bullard. HB 1168 would make it a felony to distribute Chemical Abortion Pills.
SFLActionhas been actively engaging in Oklahoma by lobbying in the House & Senate, door-knocking in the Senate Leader’s district, and sending hundreds of calls and texts to the Speaker’s Advisory Committee to ensure a floor vote.
Last year, this same bill was held up by state Sen. Greg McCortney, who at the time was the Majority Floor Leader. In response, SFLAction jumped into action and educated voters on his stance on Life, and shortly after, he lost his primary.
