LIVE: U.S. Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) and Kristan Hawkins to Discuss Protecting Babies Born Alive During an Abortion

Join U.S.Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) and SFLA/SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins for a live discussion on how to save babies born-alive after a botched abortion.

This event will take place through Skype on  Friday, July 30th at 11am ET.

Earlier this month, we recognized Rep. Cammack as SFLAction’s inaugural Pro-Life Gen Leader of the Month.

Last month, Rep. Cammack introduced a discharge petition for H.R. 619, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection ActThis bill would require an abortionist to treat a baby who survives an abortion with the same level of life-sustaining care that a child born prematurely in any other setting would receive, rather than allowing that child to be neglected or killed.

Last Congress, Speaker Nancy Pelosi blocked a vote on this bill more than 75 times. To bypass Speaker Pelosi, a discharge petition with at least 218 signatures is required. In its first day of introduction, the Born-Alive discharge petition broke the record for most signatures, with 202 signed members of Congress. Today, the signatures are at 209, meaning the petition needs merely 9 more signatures to prompt a vote.

You can take action NOW and urge your Representatives to sign the discharge petition to bring the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to the House floor for a vote ASAP by signing our petition here.
