Loyola University, a Catholic school in Chicago, Illinois, included Planned Parenthood as a practicum site in their 2018-2019 Parkinson School Handbook for Students. We received a response from the new dean, Elaine Morrato, explaining that Planned Parenthood was not included in the 2019-2020 version of the handbook.
This came after Students for Life Action sent a letter to Loyola University asking them to remove Planned Parenthood from the list of practicum sites in the Parkinson School Handbook for Students.
Katie Lodjic, the National Field Director, for Students for Life Action has sent over 70 letters to Christian schools urging them to cut ties with the abortion industry.
Elaine Morrato, the new Dean of the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health, responded to Students for Life Action and said, “the 2018-2019 Parkinson School Handbook for Students is out-of-date…the 2019-2020 Parkinson School Handbook for Students does not include Planned Parenthood as an acceptable practicum-internship site….we do not have an established agreement with Planned Parenthood in our records, nor has one been requested. Given the sanctity of life from conception to death, we do not plan on establishing any such agreements in the future.” She continued, “I also reached out to our MPH and undergraduate public health program coordinators and confirmed that students are not conducting coursework requirements at a Planned Parenthood location or any other abortion facility.”

Students for Life action is thankful for college administrators, like Dr. Morrato, who uphold the dignity of all human life, and who are not afraid to stand up for the most vulnerable among us.
This follows the removal of Planned Parenthood links from Lubbock Christian University, Clarks Summit University, Pepperdine University, Seattle University, Westmont College, the University of Findlay, La Sierra University, Columbia College SC, Edgewood College, Hanover College, and the College of Saint Scholastica.
